Invisalign

Invisalign is a clear, plastic, removable appliance that resembles a retainer. Once Dr. Gershkowitz designs a custom prescription for your mouth, Invisalign uses 3-D computer imaging technology to develop the treatment plan from the initial positioning of the teeth to the final desired result. This imaging lets you preview the final outcome before you start wearing the appliance.

A series of 18 to 30 custom made aligners incrementally move your teeth into the desired position. Although discreet, they may take as long as conventional braces (average 12 -24 months) but offer the convenience of being removable for eating, drinking, brushing and flossing. Invisalign is also more comfortable than metal braces, avoiding mouth abrasions caused by wires. During treatment you will visit us every 6 to 8 weeks for progress reports.

Not all patients are candidates for Invisalign. Dr. Gershkowitz offers free consultations to see if this is a program that can work for you. After your course of treatment is complete, a full range of cosmetic procedures can augment your new smile.
