Financial Policy
At Sola Dental Spa ™ we do everything we can to provide you and your family with exemplary dental care. We want you to feel welcome and as comfortable as possible throughout your treatment. Being involved in your treatment decisions necessarily includes an understanding of the treatment plan as well as your appointment and financial obligations. Below please review the policies we have in place in order to better serve all our patients. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to direct them to our concierge.
Appointments and Cancellations
We maintain a very generous appointment system that allows each patient plenty of time with the doctor. It is one of the benefits that differentiate our practice. When patients fail to keep scheduled appointments, or cancel without adequate notice we must absorb that overhead. We understand that appointments often have to be rescheduled. If you call prior to 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, we will gladly change your appointment. Without 24 hour notice we will have to charge a fee of $100.00.
Financial Agreement
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made through our financial coordinator. At Sola Dental Spa ™ you will be made aware of all the costs associated with your dental care and cosmetic procedures so there are no surprises. Financing options for all or part of your treatment can be arranged.
Please check our finacing options available.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic Dentistry is not covered by insurance. Our financial coordinator will work with you to explore financing options available so you don’t have to put your dreams on hold.
A note about insurance from Dr. Gershkowitz
Ours is a "health centered" as opposed to an "insurance centered" practice. Our treatment recommendations are based on patient needs, not their insurance benefits. We promise to obtain on your behalf any benefits for which you may be eligible; however we will not let insurance influence a plan that is in our opinion not in your best interest.
If you are insured please:
Be familiar with the coverage and deductible on your insurance plans. If possible call your employer, human resource department or insurance company regarding any questions prior to your visit.
Bring your insurance card or form with you.
Be aware that parents of minor children are responsible for any payment due. Non-emergency treatment for unaccompanied minors will be denied in the absence of a pre-authorized charge or failure to make previous arrangements with the financial coordinator.
Insurance Obligations
We accept most major PPO insurance plans. Co-payments are due at the time of treatment. As a courtesy we will file your insurance claim forms and answer any questions you have to the best of our ability. Deductibles, monetary limitations and payments for dental insurance vary widely from those you may be accustomed to with your medical provider. We will aid in securing the maximum allowance due to you. If insurance has not paid within 60 days of your treatment, you are responsible for making full payment to our practice and will be reimbursed when your insurance company pays Sola Dental Spa ™. All current documentation will be provided to you by mail in order to assist in your inquiries.
Please keep in mind that dental insurance is an agreement between you, your insurance company and the employer who designed the policy.
Returned Check Fee
Checks returned to our office from your financial institution are subject to a $20.00 return check fee. This fee covers the processing fees that are charged to our office.
